[OK na Food Trip] Mu Noodle Bar

Pasakalye:
Naglilihi (??!) si Kat sa mainit na sabaw kaya naghanap kami ng makakainan nito na hindi Hokkaido, dahil ilang araw na kaming paulit-ulit dun. Naalala namin ang Mu Noodle Bar sa third floor ng Glorietta 2. Matagal na naming gustong kumain dito. It's about time na masubukan na.

Ang Chicha:
  • prawn omelet
  • beef noodles in soy stock (thick noodles)
  • house tea

Prawn omelet. Perfect ang luto ng itlog. Inaasahan namin na konti ang servings ng prawn (ganun madalas sa mga mahal na prawn/shrimp viands), pero nagulat ako na sobrang generous ng servings nila. Malasa ang luto nito by itself pero being a ketchup-person, kelangan ko pa din ng sawsawan.

Beef noodle is cooked al dente. The soy stock soup is not that impressive. Frankly, it tasted just a bit better than the regular instant noodles. Kudos on the beef though. It's tender and tasty at malaki ang servings. It's served in a hot pot so mainit ito the entire time that we were eating.

Kaching:
Tama lang ang presyo niya para sa kainan na ganito ang kalibre. Mahal ang pagkain pero muka namang minahal ang preparasyon. That plus the ambiance should make the cost worth it.

Ibang Chechebureche:
May lemon ang tubig, tsarap. Attentive ang mga staff. Madilim yung interiors but I guess that's the plan (the place made use of either black walls and panelings or wooden materials). Style din nila na mataas ang silya at lamesa (chest level ko halos) sa middle part ng room. Pero may mga spots along the wall the normal ang height ng fixtures.

Parting Words:
Pwede na dito kung mga date-nights or let's-try-something-new na araw. Pero kung pagkain lang talaga ang usapan, mukang hindi ito something that we will look forward to frequent. Siguro babalik kami ulit, pero para lang masubukan naman yung ibang putahe.
