Ang Unang Hirit:
Even when located at the forefront of a creativity hub in Makati called "The Collective", Wingman is still a place that would only be known through word of mouth. And people would go there just because they need to try it OR they loved something about their food. Ika nga a "dayo-place".

It's on an obscured compound along Malugay Street. Parallel ng Buendia Avenue on the right side kung papunta ng Osmena Highway or Cash and Carry. Mas malapit ang Wingman sa side ng riles ng tren than on the Pasong Tamo side (where Central is). Kung hindi alam kung ano ang Central, very good... hindi ka manginginom. In that case, mas pamilyar ka malamang sa McDo - Pasong Tamo or sa Sinangag Express sa likod ng Shell... ayun, hindi dun! Malayo ang lalakarin kung dun mag-uumpisa. Nasa kabilang end ng kalsadang yun ang The Collective.

Diner-type place ang Wingman so we were expecting burgers and fries and finger foods at syempre yung specialty nilang chicken wings!

Matagal na itong naka line-up sa dadayuhin naming kainan ni K pero dahil nga medyo effort puntahan yung lugar palagi kaming nagkakatamaran. Kung hindi ko lang kras si Reema Changco... tsk tsk. Siya ang owner nito.

Ang Nilantakan:
  • Half Dozen Buffalo Wings (hot)
  • Home Run Sliders (Chimichurri, Cowboy, Wingman)
  • Corn Puppies
  • Deep Fried Coca Cola
  • Blue Lemonade

Honestly, medyo disappointed kami sa Buffalo Wings. Take note: yung Buffalo Wings in particular. Madami pa silang ibang flavor offerings for their wings at baka nagkamali lang kami ng sinubukan. In any case, we ought to pick that because supposedly you can't go wrong with the basics. Mahilig kami sa maanghang so we choose to have it "hot".

Yes, it's spicy hot (panalo naman kung eto ang pag-uusapan) kaso panay anghang na lang yung lasa. Nawala yung lasang manok kumbaga. Overpowered ng spicy tang ng buffalo sauce. It's served with carrot sticks which is, for me, perfect with the flavor. At hindi mahilig dun si Misis so more for me! Yub yub! Another thing, maliit yung wings compared to some of the wings we've tried sa ibang specialty resto.

Yung Home Run Sliders ay sampler ng burgers. Miniature versions of any three burgers of your choice from the menu (which is apat lang naman... Chimichurri, Cowboy, Wingman, at Classic) served with big-cut fries and special sauce (ketchup-mayo mix). Chimichurri, Cowboy, at Wingman ang pinili namin.

Yung Chimichurri ay burger marinated with chimichurri sauce, isang South American concoction. Nagustuhan ni K ito dahil napaka rich ng lasa. Bagay sa grilled taste nung patty. Yung Cowboy ay burger on barbecue sauce, topped with bacon at caramelized  na onions. Eto naman ang patok saken! Manamis namis na barbecue flavor ang lasa neto. Yung Wingman ang least peborit namin sa tatlo. The patty was lathered with buffalo sauce na hinaluan ng blue cheese. Parang hindi bagay para sa amin.

Still, kung may babalikan kami sa Wingman, etong burgers nila yun!

Corn Puppies ay miniaturized corndogs in honey mustard dip. Anim na piraso ito. Nothing special really. Just the typical corndog lang din ang lasa.

Dessert namin yung Deep Fried Coke. Funnel cake eto. Muka at lasa siyang cheese curls na imbes na cheese ay sandamakmak na whipped cream ang nilahok. Na may pampatamis na syrup ng Coke. Masarap naman ito pero walang "kaboom" eh. We even think that the syrup was not enough. Medyo matabang na sa huli pag naubos na lahat ng whipped cream. But then again we might have ordered the wrong item. Mas sikat kasi around the web yung Deep Fried Snickers nila.

Yung blue lemonade ay matabang na lemonade na nilagyan lang ng blue na food coloring. Not worth it subukan. Mag tubig na lang.

Iba pang Tsetsebureche:
Typical diner yung ambiance. May artistic touches here and there to have a retro diner feel pero majority ay modern pa din ang design. Naaliw kami dun sa menu-on-a-chalkboard.

Comfy yung place in general kaso medyo madilim. Hindi namin alam kung kasama yun sa ambiance pero kung sakaling oo, hindi ito bagay. Nagmumuka tuloy pang meet-up ng mga masasamang loob yung datingan nung resto.

Naka-laminate lang na puting papel ang menu. Outright, simple, at may sapat naman na impormasyon ito tungkol sa mga pagkain nila. Wala lang ritrato so clueless ang mga bagong saltang katulad namin kung gaano kadami ang dapat i-expect.

Mabilis dumating yung mga pagkain. Hindi kami nainip mag-intay.

Mabilis ang serbisyo at attentive ang mga waitresses. Kaso para silang mga katambayan ko lang sa kanto makipag-usap. Take note: not a bad thing for us. Astig nga eh, casual na casual... parang, "Oi, ate... high five! Anong meron tayo dyan?". Mga ganung datingan.

Madaming weirdo sa paligid pero I consider myself one... so basically, I'm at home! At mukang sanay na sanay sila Ate Waitress makisalamuha sa kanila. Walang basagan ng trip.

Kaching!:
Nasa P180 to P240 ang range ng isang order.

Mahal ito para sa general packaging nung lugar (i.e. yung quality ng pagkain, yung "feel" nung paligid, yung serbisyo), parang hindi gaanong tumabla sa ibinayad.

Update: P200 to P270 na ang price range ngayon (2015).

Ang Hatol:
May pakiramdam ako na mali lang yung ilang items na sinubukan namin pero hindi talaga pumatok sa amin yung supposedly specialty nila which is the buffalo wings. Dito lang kami turn-off.

Mas na-trippan pa namin yung burgers. Eto ang babalikan namin dito kung sakali.
